Your New Role:

We are looking for a self-starter with a "can do" attitude, a team player able to collaborate with peers, also under high-time pressure, and in a multitasking mode. They will join our team in San Francisco as Junior Operations and Marketing Manager, working and reporting to the Operations & Marketing Manager of the Italian Innovation Center. They will support the operations of the hub, ensuring a smooth running of its operations, and managing events, logistics, marketing, and community engagement.

As the ideal candidate, you possess a passion for innovation, technology, and cultural exchange, thriving in a vibrant environment with opportunities to connect with entrepreneurs, professionals, and creative minds from diverse backgrounds.

Your Role Accountabilities:

Logistics and Events Management:

  • Assist in planning and coordinating events, including workshops, seminars, and networking sessions.
  • Support the development, coordination, and execution of acceleration programs.
  • Attend and support evening events as needed, ensuring smooth execution and participant satisfaction.
  • Handle logistics related to event setup, participant registration, and post-event follow-up.

Marketing and Community Engagement:

  • Create, edit, and publish digital content for target audiences across all multimedia and different social media platforms.
  • Develop and execute social media strategies to enhance INNOVIT's online presence and engagement.
  • Identify and engage in community public relations opportunities to promote INNOVIT's mission and activities.
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of digital content and campaigns, providing regular reports and insights.

Facility Administrative Activities:

  • Provide administrative support for the execution of acceleration programs.
  • Maintain a well-organized and professional environment at INNOVIT's facility.

Qualifications:

  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Italian is a plus.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong proficiency in social media platforms.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and occasional weekends for event support.
  • Experience with startups or innovation ecosystems is a plus.

INNOVIT is a multi-year strategic initiative, launched by the Italian Government to boost Italy's innovation power, to foster economic growth, competitiveness, and progress in cutting-edge Research & Development (R&D). The center also operates as a hub to strengthen Italy's tech relationship with the Bay Area and the broader US ecosystem.

INNOVIT serves a wide range of Italian private and public entities: startups; scale-ups; larger corporations; research centers and academia; tech clusters and accelerators/incubators; national, regional, and local government entities. It acts as a networking platform for US Companies, investors, and entrepreneurs to get to know Italian innovative scaleups, startups, large corporates, R&D centers, and technological districts, and explore opportunities of investment and collaboration in Italy and the European market.

Team's Description:

INNOVIT is managed by a relatively small team of high-performing professionals and experts in technology, business, and venture capital, both in San Francisco and in Italy.

Specifically, each year the Center:

  • Organizes six editions of curated 1-2 week acceleration programs tailored to Startups and Scaleups;
  • Hosts and co-organizes a large number of events linked to political, institutional and corporate visits from Italy;
  • Manages a growing community of entrepreneurs, executives, industry leaders, investors, experts, and academics through the organization of demo days and open-house events;
  • Creates communication products on innovation and technology for Italian, US, and EU policymakers and industry leaders.
