Job Description:

The IT Infrastructure and Security Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the company's network infrastructure, datacenter operations, and security protocols. This role requires a strong understanding of networking, server management, cloud technology, and cybersecurity to ensure the seamless operation and protection of the organization's IT environment.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Customer Service:
  • Maintain a high level of customer service by understanding and addressing user needs effectively and timely.
  • Document and track all user interactions, issues, and resolutions in the helpdesk system.
  • Follow up with users to ensure their issues are resolved satisfactorily.
System Analysis and Design:
  • Evaluate current IT systems and infrastructure.
  • Identify and document system requirements and business processes.
  • Design and implement technology solutions that meet business needs and improve efficiency.
Project Management:
  • Manage and coordinate IT projects from conception to completion.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Technical Support and Maintenance:
  • Provide technical support network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
  • Manage and maintain datacenter operations, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability.
  • Monitor and report on endpoint management solution performance and troubleshoot issues as necessary.
  • Provide escalated support for first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person.
  • Ensure system security and data integrity.
System Administration:
  • Design and implement endpoint management solutions using Microsoft 365, including Microsoft Intune and the Microsoft Intune Suite
  • Design and implement Autopilot deployment solutions for Windows 10/11 devices.
  • Configure and manage device enrollment, compliance policies, and conditional access policies.
  • Evaluate new Microsoft 365 and Azure features and capabilities and make recommendations for their adoption.
Knowledge Management:
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of helpdesk documentation, including FAQs and troubleshooting guides.
  • Stay updated with the latest IT trends and technologies to provide effective support.
Team Collaboration:
  • Work closely with other IT team members to share knowledge and resolve issues.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of IT support processes.
Training and Development:
  • Provide training and support to end-users on new systems and technologies.
  • Develop training materials and documentation.
  • Stay updated on the latest technology trends and advancements.
Minimum Qualifications & Training:
  • High school degree or equivalent training and work experience required. Associate or bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of work and experience preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Tier II engineer, Microsoft cloud engineer, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of IT systems, networks, and applications.
  • Strong knowledge of company network architecture and components
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Entra Identity Management and Microsoft 365
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills:
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to understand and navigate complex policies within Intune and Active Directory.
  • Engineering experience with Windows 10 and 11.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 (M365).
  • Ability to understand and navigate through complex packages.
  • Able to develop and drive initiatives with minimal oversight or guidance.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with software development and coding languages.
  • Experience in a hybrid IT environment.
