High Level Statement of the Role:

The Engineering Automation Specialist is responsible for providing the technical expertise linking requirements with production realities. Responsible for conducting studies, analysis to implement technology to support targeted markets and customer requirements and implement/fabricate the best sequence of the operations to drive cost effective work flow.

Roles and Responsibilities:

· Responsible for the technical supervision of the development, production of the fabrication and implementation of the project that directly relates to industrial machinery

· Devise plans and goals for each phase of project(s)

· Preform quality control checks to ensure the safety and effectiveness of the system(s) and/or product

· Develop a plan to improve and upgrade technology platform to meet customer and market needs

· Design and develop technical documentation for each fabrication project

· Able to apply concepts such as Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Six-Sigma, etc.

· Develops strong relationships with operation personnel, customers and peers.

· Develops standard work and work instructions

· Provide technical support to existing and new machinery including automation and manual machinery

· Responsible for pilot runs, model building and process verification for sign off prior to production

· Communication with OEM to hold accountable through solutions to achieve the desired goals

· Ability to convey compliance concepts and processes to all levels within the organization

Work/Educational

· BS in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Technology or related field.

· Ability to work in a fast paced environment that is results driven.

· CAD knowledge and experience
