This position will work within one of our Business Units, which is a cross functional team of engineers, supervisors, and technicians including collaboration with our maintenance, controls, and safety departments in support of a large variety of Wolf appliances. This position will be working in a hands-on manufacturing environment where safety & quality are of utmost importance with a primary focus on current production support.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support current production equipment and tools to ensure KPIs are being met with an emphasis on our Safety and Quality metrics
  • Create and maintain standard work for the assembly processes
  • Create and maintain time standards that align with the standard work
  • Ensure processes are designed to support ergonomics and highly aesthetic components
  • Complete hands on work with a strength in developing creative solutions
  • Responsible for MES, PLM, and ERP tasks
  • Guide NPD project teams to ensure new products are ready for production prior to launch
  • Create and maintain assembly process layouts
  • Work daily with supporting BU staff to prioritize issues and perform root cause analysis
  • Prioritize and complete tasks and support production needs with limited support
  • Research, develop, and implement new manufacturing technologies and processes
  • Work with outside contractors to coordinate equipment repair, upgrade, or installation
  • Initiate, develop, and implement cost reduction projects
  • Utilize lean/six sigma principles during project implementation
  • Lead and/or participate in manufacturing capacity increase initiatives to support sales growth
  • Prepare appropriation requests for capital investments and project manage implementation of capital equipment
  • Ensure that the projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Communicate detailed technical information to an audience with various levels of technical understanding
  • Suggest design changes to improve Design for Assembly
