WHAT THIS COUNSELING JOB ENTAILS:

As our full-time Mental Health Therapist, you will assist in providing comprehensive mental health services and advocacy for families. Using evidence-based practices and a variety of therapeutic approaches, you will offer individual and group therapy to children, adults, couples, and families in both office and community settings. Your day will involve conducting bio-psycho-social assessments and developing treatment goals in collaboration with clients and their guardians. You will participate in clinical case staffing and provide crisis intervention when necessary. Collaboration is key, as you will work with other professionals as part of a care team, and coordinate with external agencies and families to ensure clients receive the best possible support. Additionally, you will handle billing for self-pay and insured clients, participate in utilization reviews of clinical files, and ensure all insurance and Medicaid requirements are met. Your conscientious documentation will keep everything in order, and you'll find great fulfillment in providing counseling to youth and families in a constructive and supportive environment.

What we need from you:

  • Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or another related human services field
  • Knowledge about evidence-based practices and a variety of treatment modalities used with the population we serve
  • Understanding and appreciation of multiculturalism
  • Ability and willingness to complete the children and residential experiences (CARE) and therapeutic crisis intervention (TCI) training
  • Valid driver's license and proof of insurance

A licensed clinical social work (LCSW) or licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC) is preferred but multiple factors will be taken into consideration.
