The Service Center Underwriting Consultant is responsible for providing quality and efficient customer service to our agents by providing underwriting guidance to the Underwriting Services Staff.
- Handling and responding to UWS Escalation Chats from the Underwriting Services Representatives.
- Processing workflow items in the UWS IIS Mailbox in a timely manner.
- Review and process change requests on quotes and in force policies.
- Handle escalated phone calls from our agents.
- Participate with Underwriting Trainings offered.
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- At least 2 years of previous customer service experience and underwriting experience preferred
- Proficiency with computers and strong typing skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Capable of handling challenging interactions professionally and accurately
- Strong multitasking skills, managing up to three web chats simultaneously
- Team player with the ability to contribute to a positive team culture
- Adaptability to evolving underwriting guidelines is essential
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Flexible with work hours, as this team operates between 8:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. EST, Monday through Friday
