Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Underwriting Associate to join our dynamic team at TEKsystems. This role is essential in evaluating risks across various business lines and ensuring compliance with underwriting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess risks by applying company underwriting guidelines for diverse lines of insurance.
- Conduct thorough research using internal resources and online platforms.
- Verify the operations of insured entities independently.
- Process modifications for existing policies efficiently.
Work Schedule:
- Standard hours are Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM.
- This position follows a hybrid work model, with in-office days on Mondays and Fridays, and remote work from Tuesday to Thursday. Necessary equipment will be provided.
- A minimum of an Associate Degree is required for this role.
- Candidates will be required to complete a Wonderlic assessment during the interview process.
- There are excellent opportunities for career advancement within the insurance sector.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in areas such as professional liability, small business insurance, workers' compensation, general liability, business owners policies (BOP), commercial auto, or umbrella insurance is highly preferred.
- Strong mathematical and reading comprehension skills are essential.
- Demonstrated investigative abilities are crucial for success in this role.
- Flexibility in adapting to a rapidly evolving environment, including changes in technology, underwriting policies, and regulatory requirements, is necessary.
- Applicants must possess at least an Associate Degree.
