Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Underwriting Associate to evaluate and analyze risks across various insurance lines. This role is essential in ensuring that our underwriting standards are met while providing exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess risks based on company underwriting guidelines for multiple business lines.
- Conduct independent research utilizing internal resources and online tools.
- Verify the operations of insured entities through thorough investigation.
- Process requests for changes on existing policies efficiently.
Work Schedule:
- Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
- This position offers a hybrid work model, with in-office days on Monday and Friday, and remote work from Tuesday to Thursday. Necessary equipment will be provided.
- A minimum of an Associate Degree is required for this role.
- Candidates will be required to complete a Wonderlic assessment during the interview process.
- There are excellent opportunities for career advancement within the insurance sector.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in areas such as professional liability, small business insurance, workers' compensation, general liability, business owners policies (BOP), commercial auto, or umbrella insurance is highly preferred.
- Strong mathematical and reading comprehension skills are essential.
- Demonstrated investigative abilities are crucial for success in this role.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment, including evolving technology, underwriting standards, and regulatory changes.
- Applicants must possess at least an Associate Degree.
