Position Description

Title: Clinical Informatics Analyst
Reports To: Director of Managed Services
Class: Full-Time
Type: Salaried, Exempt

Description of Duties: The Clinical Informatics Analyst will be responsible for providing professional analytical services for our customers and staff on systems provided and installed by South Western Communications.

Professional analytical service duties include, but are not limited to:

1. Research, document, and collate baseline assessments of our customer's integrated systems
2. Review system installation configurations and confirm facility layout
3. Lead/assist with assessment meetings by creating and maintaining documentation of user requirements and configuring these workflows in applications
4. Lead efforts to develop, display and understand customer performance metrics using both proprietary and non-proprietary platforms
5. Participate in business reviews with customers to ensure adoption of technologies and continuous optimization of systems
6. Work closely with the assigned service and installation technicians to ensure correct system configuration as per the customer requirements for analytics and reporting
7. Work closely with Clinical Application Specialists to develop plans for training, implementation and adoption of technology that supports individual business needs
8. Work closely with sales to assess customer needs and expectations from systems before and after purchase as necessary
9. Take ownership of customer issues and follow problems through to resolution referring technical staff when necessary
10. Ensure customer service procedures are clearly understood
11. Present a positive attitude and self-assured image to the community on behalf of SWC
12. Maintain a commitment to achieve a "best in class" program through continuous improvement

Administrative responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Develop and maintain data for benchmarking customer performance metrics
2. Design, coordinate, assemble supporting material for presentations
3. Coordination with Project Managers on scheduling
4. Maintain records of projected project hours versus actual project hours to evaluate continuous improvement process
5. Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Managed Services

Education/Experience:
1. Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Clinical Informatics / Health Informatics OR equivalent work experience demonstrating proficiency in field preferred
2. Healthcare experience preferred

Preferred:
1. Prior "Process Improvement Training" (e.g. Lean, Six-Sigma)
2. Experience with data analytics platforms

Skills:
1. Comprehensive knowledge of management methods, techniques and Microsoft Suite
2. Proficiency in English
3. Creative aptitude and passion for using data and research to tell a story
4. Detailed oriented with strong communication skills
5. Advanced troubleshooting, multi-tasking skills and time management skills
6. Ability to effectively present and disseminate technical information to diverse groups
7. Ability to learn in both an organized classroom environment and individually
8. Ability to continuously learn new technologies and have a technical curiosity

Physical, Mental and Environmental Requirements:

1. Employee is required to stand, walk, climb, sit and use hands and fingers
2. Some lifting of objects up to fifty pounds is required
3. Reaching, grasping and carrying activities also required
4. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
5. Although most work is performed inside, occasional outside activities are subject to seasonal temperature fluctuations

Travel Requirements:
1. Occasional daytrips to attend meetings
2. Occasional overnight travel
