Accounting Manager

Search Solution Group is seeking an Accounting Manager on behalf of our client, a company specializing in private-labeled products tailored to customer branding requirements for wholesale and retail distribution. This role is crucial in overseeing financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance with GAAP and tax regulations, and strategic financial planning. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and experience in a manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management
- Supervise and lead the daily operations of the accounting team, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and cost accounting.
- Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to ensure a collaborative and efficient working environment.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the accounting team.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee and coordinate internal and external audits, working closely with auditors to ensure timely and accurate audit completion.
- Ensure adherence to tax regulations and corporate finance best practices.
- Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to improve efficiency and ensure compliance.
- Assist in the preparation of budget reports, financial forecasts, and variance analysis to support business decision-making.
- Manage and review bank and credit card reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Oversee cash flow management to ensure adequate funds for business operations.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and assist in financial strategy development to enhance profitability and cost control.
- Assist with special financial projects, including system upgrades, process improvements, and reporting enhancements.
- Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned to support the organization's financial objectives.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or CMA preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and corporate finance.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, or similar).
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across departments.
- Proven ability to lead and develop a team.

- Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to interpret financial data.
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in reporting and financial records.

- Location: Fort Mill, SC (On-site role).
