Job Description
The Regional Marketing Specialist for AMER will support and deliver on a variety of strategic initiatives and campaigns, and advocate for their region in the context of the broader commercial organization. You will coordinate with relevant commercial individuals such as channel managers, account managers and sales specialists to drive, inform and act on specific LGC revenue campaigns. You will oversee all the LGC Standards brands across multiple touchpoints, ensure assigned country level marketing initiatives are completed efficiently and effectively.
You will report to Director, Growth Marketing directly and VP, Commercial Americas dotted line.
Key Responsibilities
- Play a leading role in developing & implementing the annual marketing plan for the AMER region in coordination with global marketing, end-market technical teams and the regional commercial team.
- Maintain a working understanding of LGC's product offerings across all market segments: Pharmaceuticals, Environmental, Food, Forensics, Cannabis & Industrial.
- Use LGC's tools and processes to manage campaigns, monitor campaign analytics, and support global marketing in an accurate and timely manner.
- Work with external agencies and vendors to develop assets, review and recommend improvements to media plans for your region.
- Work with commercial teams to consolidate and distill VoC insights into relevant and actionable insights.
- Support market research and analysis including identifying target markets, monitoring market trends and the competitive environment, projecting market potential and product penetration opportunities.
- Increase awareness of the LGC Standards brands by supporting in the organizing and attendance of exhibitions, seminars, and other events, setting appropriate and measurable objectives and by serving as a company representative during working hours.
- Marketing or equivalent business degree or professional qualification
- Interest in chemistry, physics, biochemistry, or biology preferred.
- Must have 5+ years of prior overall marketing experience, including market research, the development of advertising and promotional campaigns.
- Experience in marketing technical products used in research laboratories is preferred.
- Able to read and interpret technical documents and cast them in a customer and business end-user friendly light.
- Salesforce experience an advantage
- Market Knowledge: competitive landscape, positioning, and industry trends
- Product Knowledge: value propositions, solution development.
- Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects and requests simultaneously, within an intense, deadline-driven environment.
- Willing to travel within AMER region and to APAC and Europe as required.
