AKRF’s IT Department is seeking a full-time Desktop Support Technician who will support all of AKRF’s offices. The ideal candidate will support end-users, maintain and trouble-shoot desktop systems including both hardware and software issues. This position is regionally located in the Philadelphia, PA/Mount Laurel, NJ areas, but candidates must be able to travel to our other offices if needed.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, ticketing and/or email
  • Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues
  • Research questions using available resources
  • Follow standard help desk procedures
  • Escalate problems to appropriate team members when required
  • Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention
  • Track and route problems and requests and document resolutions
  • Stay current with system information, changes, and updates
  • Review and update help desk documentation as required
Essential Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 5 years' experience in areas related to Microsoft desktop technologies (M365, Teams, Windows 10/11)
  • Experience administering Active Directory – Users and Computers (account creation, password resets, group memberships, etc.)
  • Basic understanding of PowerShell as it applies to troubleshooting or discovery
  • General understanding of group policy and script behavior
  • Basic knowledge of network connectivity & troubleshooting (Wired & wireless networking) Self-motivated and be able to think critically
  • Strong oral and written communication with a customer service mentality
