Emergency Medical Technician

Virtua Health is seeking a skilled Emergency Medical Technician to provide high-quality patient care in emergency and non-emergency settings. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing patients, providing treatment, and transporting them to medical facilities. Key Responsibilities- Perform patient assessments and provide appropriate treatment and transport according to established protocols.
- Accurately document patient information, treatment, and transfer of care.
- Operate an ambulance safely and efficiently, adhering to driving policies and ensuring the vehicle is properly maintained.
- Maintain equipment and property in a safe and secure manner.
- Participate in training and orientation of new staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Previous BLS experience preferred.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Graduate of a recognized Emergency Medical Technician-Basic Training Program.
- Certified as an Emergency Medical Technician – Basic by the Commissioner of Health & Senior Services of the State of New Jersey.
- Current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) to the professional rescuer level, and EVOC.
- Valid Driver's license recognized by the State of New Jersey and driving record must meet insurance company standards/requirements.
