Description Summary:

China Telecom Americas, a fast-growing company, is seeking a Director of Marketing that will lead our marketing efforts across the Americas (focused on the United States, Canada and Brazil) and drive growth in the rapidly evolving technology and telecommunications industry. Responsible for developing and managing strategic marketing initiatives to strengthen CTA's brand presence, enhance customer engagement, and generate leads to fuel the company's growth. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in marketing, with specialized expertise in digital marketing and lead generation, combined with a strong background in the cloud, SDWAN, datacenter, and/or telecommunications services.

Major Tasks & Responsibilities:
  • Strategy Development: Formulate comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with CTA's overall business objectives, market trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Regional Brand Build: Oversee brand development and positioning, ensuring a consistent brand message across all channels and marketing materials.
  • Digital Marketing: Leverage digital channels to execute online campaigns, SEO/SEM, social media, email marketing, and content marketing, with a focus on lead generation and conversion.
  • Lead Generation: Design and implement lead generation programs to capture and nurture prospects, driving them through the sales funnel to conversion.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify growth opportunities, emerging trends, and customer needs.
  • Campaign Management: Plan and execute marketing campaigns across various channels to maximize ROI and achieve KPIs.
  • Performance Tracking: Utilize data-driven insights to monitor campaign performance, evaluate marketing initiatives, and optimize strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the marketing team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment to achieve departmental goals.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with sales and solutions team to align marketing efforts with overall company objectives.
  • Budget Management: Manage the marketing budget efficiently, ensuring effective allocation of resources for optimal results.
  • Events and Trade Shows: Plan and participate in industry events and trade shows to enhance brand visibility and network with potential partners and clients.
  • Corporate Communications: Provide overall leadership and management to corporate communications staff. Review outgoing communications products including social media, paid media engagements and other communications projects.
Essential Skills, Qualification and Education Needed:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 7-10 years’ experience in marketing operations in global telecommunications or a related industry
  • 3-5 years’ experience managing, and providing overall leadership, to a marketing department.
  • Proven experience in marketing, preferably in the cloud, SDWAN, datacenter, and/or telecommunications industry.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Hands-on experience and deep knowledge of digital marketing strategies, tactics, and tools for lead generation and customer acquisition.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and develop marketing teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Strategic Thinker: Strong strategic and analytical mindset, capable of translating data into actionable insights and effective marketing strategies.
  • Results-oriented: A track record of delivering measurable and impactful marketing campaigns that drive business growth and revenue.
  • Tech-savvy: Familiarity with marketing automation, Hubspot CRM software, analytics tools, and other relevant marketing technologies.
  • Excellent Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to convey complex ideas and information effectively.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving industry and adapt marketing strategies to changing market dynamics.
  • Creativity: Innovative thinker with the ability to devise unique marketing approaches and stay ahead of the competition.
  • Occasional domestic and international travel may be required for this role.
  • Fully fluency in English is required for this position. Some knowledge of Mandarin Chinese, Spanish and/or Portuguese is desirable but not required.
