Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Lead to join our team, and develop strategies for company growth. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and strategically advising company leadership based on data-driven analyses. You will conduct market research, develop and implement business strategies, and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure company alignment and growth.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development, experience or familiarity with sustainability and climate-related issues, the ability to work independently and collaboratively, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and can thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:



Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including potential partners, clients, and investors.


Lead market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape


Collaborate with the engineering and product development teams to align business strategies with technological advancements.


Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business objectives and revenue targets.


Prepare and present business proposals, contracts, and presentations to potential clients and partners.


Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings to promote the company’s mission and solutions.


Monitor and report on business development performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed.


Work closely with the executive team to shape the company’s overall strategy and direction


Identify and draft proposals for non-dilutive funding opportunities from local, state, and federal agencies that align with company directives.

Requirements:



Bachelor’s degree in Business, Administration, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.


4+ years of experience in business development, preferably within the clean tech or environmental sector, or in the materials manufacturing industry.


Proven track record of developing strategic partnerships, preferably within materials, climate, or heavy manufacturing industries.


Strong understanding of sustainability trends, initiatives, and policies within the context of the broader market.


Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.


Experience consolidating information and drafting presentations for customers, industry conferences, and lay-audiences.


Ability to analyze market trends and competitor activities, and identify opportunities for company growth.

Bonus Points:



Master’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.


Previous experience working in a startup environment.


Established network within the clean tech, environmental, or energy sectors.


Experience in securing non-dilutive and investment funding for tech startups.


Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and policies related to carbon capture and environmental sustainability.
