ABOUT THIS POSITION:

KBR is seeking a Database Developer and Web Designer to support the DoD International AIMS Program Office. The candidate must have the ability to interface directly with customers and react quickly, professionally, and successfully in a fast-paced environment. Utilizing their expertise, the candidate will be responsible for the development of environments in cloud-native database applications (Azure preferred).

As a Database Developer and Web Designer, you will be a critical part of our team responsible for evaluating customer requirements pertaining to complex technical challenges including cloud-native development environments.

The candidate must be able to define, generate, and review project requirements and provide detailed documentation. The candidate must have a strong understanding of cloud-native database applications, to include the management and security of cloud infrastructures. The candidate must have experience developing cloud-native databases and maintaining basic security and recovery procedures.

The candidate must be comfortable working in a dynamic, and fluid environment. Familiarity with DoD 5000.02 acquisition policies and processes, a plus, but not required.

Travel: Occasional travel required (5-10%).

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's and/or Technical Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science System experience, with at least 2 years experience in related field. In lieu of the degree four (8) years related professional experience is required.

  • Experience programing in Azure-supported languages (i.e. C#, PHP, Bash, Python, ASP.Net, HTML, CSS, Java or JavaScript)

  • DoD Clearance Requirement: The individual must possess a minimum of a Secret clearance prior to employment.

  • Individuals in this position must be a U.S. citizen.

  • Possess an IAT Level II certification (i.e. CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, or SSCP), or the ability to obtain certification within 12 months of employment start date

  • Experience with database management and architecture, including designing, implementing, and maintaining complex databases.

  • Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Cassandra is essential.

Desired QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of two years of experience in managing Azure cloud infrastructure (or equivalent) from the Azure portal, PowerShell, or using the Command Line Interface (CLI).
