While prior Car Sales experience is a plus, it is not required. Sales associates with previous experience in customer service, banking, financial services, real estate, mortgage, law enforcement and hospitality industries have proven to be very successful when switching to a career as a Car Sales Associate. 2. Invest time in continuous product knowledge training. Accurately present and demonstrate features and benefits of selected vehicles. Be committed to customer service before and after the sale. Maintain consistent contact with clients with email, phone, internet requests and other lead sources. Present pricing options and be comfortable negotiating price. Job Requirements for Car Sales Associates: Outstanding computer/internet and phone skills. Excellent multitasking and prioritization skills. Self-starter with strong initiative and a firm commitment to maximizing customer satisfaction. Valid driver’s license with 2 or fewer moving violations in the last 3 years Sales or related commission based experience preferred Pass a pre-employment drug screening.
