GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Inside Sales Associate will be responsible for handling all bidding requests to meet the immediate needs of the lighting industry. This individual will focus on creating relationships in and out of the electrical design channels to establish a preference towards Federated Lighting of Virginia’s capabilities. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to communicate material specifications, negotiate pricing, identify and present alternative products, and be able to resolve issues within all stages of the bidding process.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Manage daily quote requests and ongoing bidding schedules
● Collaborate with team members on various aspects of lighting and lighting controls proposals
● Proactively solve problems for our customers and identify opportunities for the company
● Interact with electrical distributors, electrical contractors, and our manufacturing partners on a regular basis

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
● Bachelor's degree preferred and/or equivalent work experience
● Prior electric supply or lighting knowledge is a plus
● Proven track record of ability to excel in attaining maximum sales results through successful interaction with the development of new prospects and established customers
● Strong negotiating skills
● Must thrive in an expedited, constantly changing environment with tight deadlines and multiple priorities
