Job Overview:
Responsible for all technical consultation (including monitoring, development, process improvement, etc.) with regard to joining technologies in the Body-in-White process for the Sprinter in the North American market.
Responsibilities:
Process planning, maintenance and optimization of all joining technologies including and not limited to welding, gluing and laser
Conduct process audits to ensure adherence to process and determine measures that will provide good and robust process reliability and repeatability (Ensure process compliance to ISO/IMS/SHEQ)
Responsible for product, facilities, equipment and process engineering change planning, implementation and controlling
Ensure Documentation and system maintenance / updates
Drive problem investigation, root cause analysis and implementation of preventative measures for problem resolution in area of responsibility including status feedbacks
Responsible for continuous improvement of Bodyshop processes and achievement of Bodyshop scorecard (KPI targets)
Lead data collection and trend analysis for defect reporting and analysis process performance monitoring ; implement process improvement based on findings
Responsible to verify, maintain, report and escalate quality of all joining technologies with regards to q-loop 1 and 2 processes including (but not limited to) ISRA camera verification, checking fixtures, ultrasonic testing and destruct testing
Responsible for customer interactions and Bodyshop representation to ensure good product quality and at all internal and external Quality Sensors
Technical support for MBV Bodyshop with regard to Product and Process planning, optimization (CI), and Problem investigation and resolution
Assurance of Process and Management system (IMS) compliance in compliance to the Company's Integrity & Anti Bribery Codes, Conflict of Interest Policy & S.H.E. requirements and to perform delegated S.H.E. tasks and duties & to inform superior about deviations
Other duties as assigned
Qualifikationen Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electronics, Electrical Engineering or related field
Over 5 years of relevant experience required, strongly preferring automotive, such as Body in White, Paint, and Assembly, including experience such as:
•Hands-on Programming experience in booth or work cell
•PLC experience such as; OMRON, AllenBradley, Siemens
•Hands-on experience in off-line simulations
•3D-CAD experience such as; Inventor, SolidWorks, Catia, Siemens NX, ect.
•Hands-on experience pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and computer controlled systems
Hands-on experience with process devices such as; motor drives, sensors, AC/DC converters, encoders, lifts, conveyors, etc
Knowledge & Skills:
Knowledge of manufacturing methods/procedures and process technology.
Ability to present complex technical information related to achieving goals of the department
Able to influence team members at all levels of the organization
Proven written and verbal communication at all levels within the organization with good negotiation skills.
Able to anticipate needs and deliver timely, relevant solutions and actions.
Proven design & implementation of Continuous Improvement themes with savings
Knowledge of value stream mapping to reduce waste and improve output in a production environment is desired
Experience in process layout and optimization incorporating asset utilization is a plus
Background in manpower distribution based on production and efficiency targets
Ability to troubleshoot, instruct repair techniques, & assist if needed for root cause analysis in stressful situations
Ability to read & create blueprints and schematics
Knowledge of joining technologies such Mig/Mag, spot, and laser welding, and gluing a plus
Experience in dimensional accuracy desired
