About the Role

Responsible for general accounting activities, Cash flow statement, lease accounting, review of financial statements related reporting schedules, review of close items and supporting audit and reviews from external auditors. Administers approved accounting practices throughout the company to assure that financial reports accurately reflect the conditions of the business and provide reliable information for effective operations. ERP system improvements and new system integrations.

Your Team

You will be reporting directly to the Director of Finance, who brings strong industry and financial experience. You will collaborate closely with a group of dedicated professionals, each contributing their unique skills and expertise to our collective success. What You Will Do

  • Responsible for reviewing global financial statement accounting records as well as account reconciliations.
  • Responsible for annual, quarterly, and monthly consolidated close items.
  • Review lease agreement and amortization schedules under IFRS 16/ASC 842
  • Responsible for coordination with various regions and entities within the company to gather financial data and reconcile intercompany transactions.
  • Oversees the maintenance of the company's consolidated general ledger.
  • Lead system and process improvements related to close timeline and accounting record accuracy.
  • Maintains oversight within the Company for the accuracy and compliance of accounting transactions and processes.
  • Makes appropriate decisions concerning the accounting treatment of financial transactions for forecasting and budgeting purposes.
  • Cooperates with external auditors to audit accounting procedures and reports.
  • Collaborates with the Internal Controls team to conduct periodical self-audits of internal systems and procedures. Works with Internal Controls to improve process controls and efficiency.
  • Plans and coordinates organizational activities, establishing priorities to meet the designated deadlines, goals and objectives.

What You Need

  • Four-year college degree in a finance or accounting related field or relevant accounting education. CPA and big 4 experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Extensive knowledge of IFRS or US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Understands and follows all standards of IATF16949 and VDA 6.3 quality standards. (training and awareness will be provided for those who are not familiar with these standards)
  • Understands and follows all standards of ISO14001 environmental standards. (training and awareness will be provided for those who are not familiar with these standards)

What is "Nice to Have"?

  • Preferred SAP System experience
  • Preferred Accounting, consolidation and reporting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Preferred cash flow statement experience
