We are partnered with a growing company in Albany, GA seeking a dedicated and experienced Human Resources Manager to join the team As the Human Resources Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth functioning of various HR functions, from recruitment to compliance with employment laws and fostering a culture of safety.

Core Responsibilities

  • Overseeing HR Information Systems, including data entry and supporting the VP, HR in implementing and maintaining the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
  • Ensuring compliance with wage and hour regulations for hourly employees in California.
  • Managing recruitment and disciplinary processes for hourly and operations positions, interpreting and communicating HR policies, and conducting internal investigations.
  • Maintaining consistency and accountability by updating job descriptions and Organizational Charts.
  • Handling wage garnishments and medical support orders.
  • Managing employee leaves, including FMLA and PDL.
  • Building and maintaining rapport with operations-related management.
  • Being available 24/7 to address emergency HR-related issues in Operations.
  • Facilitating communication between the HR Department and Plant/Warehouse Operations employees as needed.
  • Managing government programs for new and temporary employees.
  • Interpreting and communicating HR policies and procedures in collaboration with the VP of HR.
Skills and Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in Excel spreadsheets, Word documents, PowerPoint, and HR Information Systems.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
