Job Description

The Talent Acquisition Specialist recruits qualified applicants for specified communities and/or areas of responsibility. Coordinates in house recruitment efforts and assists leadership with various aspects of the recruitment component of the employee life cycle.

Service Excellence: All associates of Harmony's Talent Acquisition team will promote service excellence by developing and maintaining positive relationships with customers, the communities, other associates, and ensure the highest quality of senior care by performing their responsibilities according to the highest professional standards.

Key Roles/Responsibilities:
  • Assists in identifying, organizing, and recommending recruiting functions, and represents Harmony at approved recruiting events.
  • Screens and refers qualified applicants to appropriate hiring managers for interview.
  • Identifies difficult to fill positions and makes recommendations such as, but not limited to, salary review, sign-on bonuses, and increased advertising.
  • Ensures all steps of the pre-selection screening process are completed and documented.
  • Extends offer of employment to qualified applicants and ensures compensation offer is equitable and in accordance with Harmony poliies and practice.
  • Effectively communicates with candidates/new hires about the team member benefits package and information relating to Orientation.
  • Establishes relationships with area colleges and universities offering healthcare programs, and visits/recruits as needed to ptomote employment opportunities.
  • Provides defined monthly reports to Director regarding employment activity.
  • Maintains and ensures compliance with applicable equal employment opportunity (EEO) and related employment laws and regulations.
  • Manages and participates in special projects as assigned.
  • Perform other duties, special assignments, and projects as assigned.
Requirement
  • Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare/Business, or related field preferred.
  • Two years recruiting experience required; healthcare and/or senior living recruitment experience preferred.
  • Intermittent travel for Community visits and hiring events required.
  • Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail; ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work with little supervision, taking initiative in tasks that need to be done.
  • Ability to work with high level of integrity, using discretion with sensitive and/or confidential information.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with aptitude in conducting interviews.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment to meet critical and ongoing deadlines.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Power Point and other software required; experience with Indeed, LinkedIn, and applicant tracking systems highly preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of EEO, ADA, and other related employment laws and guidelines.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
