Summary
The Senior Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for day-to-day operational efficiency of Accounts Payable and the invoice-to-payment process.Key Responsibilities:

Completes end to end Purchase Order and Non-Purchase Order related invoice processing within service level agreement, including entry, corrections, coding validation, and inquiry management. Ensures the flow of financial documents (invoices / credit memos) follow standard operating procedures. Reconciles vendor statements with invoices received. Maintains standard operating procedures for invoice processing. Assists with month end closing. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with employees, vendors, and internal Stakeholders. Responds to requests for data and resolves vendor, employee, auditor, and internal stakeholder queries within a ticket management system. Provides support when required to other member(s) of AP and Finance teams. Assists with ad hoc assignments, project work, testing of new processes and procedures within SAP and other systems as needed. Completes other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
  • High school education and 4 years of equivalent experience or equivalent level of higher education and experience. Associate degree is preferred.
  • 3+ years of diverse senior level AP experience in high volume, fast paced environment to include payments, escheatment, AP workflows, and working on small project teams.
  • Working experience with ERP systems; preferably SAP.
  • Working experience with Excel. (Pivot tables, vlookups)
  • Excellent communication skills (fluent in English).
  • Highly accurate and deadline driven.
  • Ability to adapt to rapid change as the business develops, capable of working under pressure and manage time effectively.
