Corporate Project Chief Nursing Officer The Corporate Project Chief Nursing Officer will play a vital role in supporting and traveling to various Acadia facilities across the country. In this capacity, the Project CNO will assume the role of CNO at facilities facing staffing vacancies and/or offer extended onsite assistance to interim CNOs to facilitate a seamless transition until a permanent CNO is appointed. This position holds significant importance in safeguarding the stability of front-line nursing teams during the recruitment process. The Project CNO will play a vital role in the strategic leadership and management of our nursing teams across various Acute Behavioral Health Hospitals. Your expertise will drive clinical excellence, compliance with regulatory standards, and the overall enhancement of patient care outcomes. Anticipates and effectively manage changes in census and acuity and allocates nursing resources based on measurement of patient acuity/care needed. Role models expectations related to customer service and demonstrates a sense of urgency related to the importance of patient safety. Serve as a member of the leadership team and on committees as required. Manage the daily operations of nursing services. Ensure nursing services are provided in compliance with the laws and regulations of federal, state and local governmental agencies. Standards are met for accrediting agencies. Integrate nursing functions with clinical and programs, ensuring efficient and effective operations. Provide effective and efficient budget management that ensures the best utilization of resources. Evaluate service needs and staffing requirements to ensure needs of patients are met. Provide effective staff management (hiring, development, training, performance feedback, etc.) that ensures utilization of personnel to best meet the needs of the patients. Monitor unit/floor functioning by making frequent rounds. Intervene in crisis situations and investigate incidents. Oversee the utilization of tools to measure, assess and improve quality of nursing care, treatment and service. Oversee nursing services documentation to ensure it meets all standards. Assist with direct care as needed. Qualifications: EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in psychiatric or mental health nursing required. 10+ or more years nursing experience and previous experience with the population of the facility preferred; with five or more years’ experience at the Chief Nursing Officer level. Compact RN license is active and in good standing. CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility). First aid may be required based on state or facility. Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. In-depth knowledge of Behavioral Health hospital treatment practices, regulatory requirements (JACHO, CARF and TJC), and industry trends. #J-18808-Ljbffr
