Divisional Chief Financial Officer

About the Job:
The Divisional Chief Financial Officer is a key leadership role at Summit BHC, responsible for the overall fiscal management of the facilities within the division. This includes providing financial and operational decision-making necessary for the realization of the Division's strategic, financial, and operational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly financial statements for the Division.
- Visit assigned facilities to review financial operations and provide feedback and guidance to Facility leadership and Division President.
- Provide Division President and other Corporate staff with requested information related to the Division's financial operations.
- Oversee the preparation of the monthly forecast, ensuring accuracy and validity.
- Assist in the preparation of corporate and divisional required reports, including the Monthly Operating Report and Forecasts.
- Provide financial expertise in planning new services, including preparation of pro-formas.
- Work with facilities to ensure all accounting and business office policies and required internal controls are in place to facilitate a clean audit with no material audit adjustments or deficiencies found.
- Participate in the Monthly Operating Reviews with Summit Senior Management and provide explanations and insight for each facility assigned.
- Work with the Director of the CBO to direct the operations of the Revenue Cycle to ensure that accounts receivable are collected timely and uncompensated care is kept to a minimum.
- Ensure Front End Revenue Cycle processes are in place, including VOBs, Financial Counseling, and all other financial documentation is completed.
- Maintain a thorough working knowledge of federal, state, and managed care reimbursement methodologies to ensure that facility is paid accurately, and revenue deductions are recorded accurately.
- Facilitate preparation of any required cost reports.
- Ensure compliance with Group Purchasing contract and monitor purchases to ensure supply costs are kept to budgeted levels.
- Prepare annual operating budget and participate in the annual strategic planning process, which serves as a basis for the budget.
- Provide ongoing analysis of variances from budget and assist the CEO in implementing changes needed to achieve budget goals.
- Help ensure assets and related depreciation are recorded accurately and in compliance with company policies.
- Provide financial leadership and guidance to Division Vice President and facility CEOs.

- Review managed care contracting and other business development activities to ensure net revenue maximization.
- Maintain a current knowledge of healthcare industry trends and changes and ensure facility is prepared and compliant.
- Provide guidance and assist the Division Vice President and facility CEOs in ensuring facility is staffed appropriately and that productivity goals are met.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or business-related field; Master's degree preferred.
- At least seven years' progressive successful CFO experience in a healthcare setting required.
