Position Summary The Accounting Manager conducts general bookkeeping and accounting functions for the organization and supports NCFR’s human resource function by coordinating staff recruitment and onboarding. In addition, the Accounting Manager assumes a leadership role for NCFR annual conference registration process and supports the Director of Finance as necessary to meet NCFR objectives. This is a full-time position averaging 40 hours per week with flexible start and end times. ·

This is a hybrid position allowing for both remote and in office work. ·

Salary Range is $58,000 to $65,000 annualized depending on qualifications. ·

Applications will be reviewed as received; the position will be open until filled. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Accounts Payable ·

Initiate payment of the organization’s bills and facilitate the payment process for corporate credit card ·

Maintain vendor records and W-9 files ·

Assist with 1099 reporting Accounts Receivable ·

Support NCFR programs with ad hoc invoices as needed ·

Support NCFR annual conference with all billing needs ·

Deposit check receipts and maintain appropriate records ·

Produce aged receivable reports and distribute reports to appropriate staff for review Payroll ·

Process biweekly payroll and retirement contributions ·

Assist Director of Finance with journal entries, reporting, and file maintenance NCFR Conference ·

Lead the registration process for in-person and virtual NCFR events including the NCFR annual conference ·

Support the Conference Coordinator at annual NCFR conference Human Resources ·

Coordinate employee recruitment and onboarding process Other Duties ·

Assist Director of Finance with monthly close, audit preparation, and other accounting related duties as needed EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Minimum Education ·

Associate degree in accounting or equivalent work experience Skills Required ·

Ability to act professionally and maintain discretion and confidentiality ·

Excellent computer skills, including Excel, Outlook, database/CRM, and accounting software ·

High level of accuracy ·

Knowledge of basic bookkeeping and office procedures ·

Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors ·

Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing ·

Personable and diplomatic customer service skills and desire to serve ·

Positive team-player attitude who remains calm and professional WORKING CONDITIONS ·

Frequent continuous use of a computer, phone, and other office equipment ·
