Performs manual assembly / disassembly, operation of automated assembly equipment, hand soldering, operation of automated test equipment, and inspection and repair of products. In addition will perform machine and line setups, feeder repairs and first line preventative maintenance.Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Must possess specific certifications as defined by site operations. In-depth knowledge and understanding of board assembly process and product process flow. In-depth knowledge of product quality, soldering specifications and SMT processing systems. Ability to set up, operate, calibrate and maintain assembly and hand soldering equipment and tools. Ability to recognize problems in the assembly process or with assembly components and to address those problems. Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of internal and external customers. Ability to work effectively with team members and lead the team to high quality production within tight deadlines. Knowledge of in-circuit and functional test fixturing. Knowledge of computer applications and the ability to accurately perform tasks in some or all of the following applications: Word, Excel and Documentation control systems. More advanced manufacturing systems knowledgePhysical Demands Duties of this position are performed in a manufacturing environment with occasional to frequent exposure to elements such as noise, dust, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes, etc. Duties of the position require periodic light physical effort and exertion including prolonged repetitive motions requiring manual dexterity and precise hand/eye co-ordination, sitting and or standing in confined workspaces, using tools and equipment, and moving and handling materials.
