Position Overview

We are currently in search of an Assembly Technician to assist in the development and manufacturing of electronic signal processing and communication systems in moderate production volumes. This role is crucial as you will collaborate closely with a team of electrical, software, and mechanical engineers, as well as production personnel.

Key Responsibilities of the Assembly Technician Role:

  • Assemble intricate electronic hardware products, including the installation of electrostatic discharge (ESD) sensitive circuit card assemblies within various enclosures and chassis types.
  • Maintain regular communication with engineering and management teams regarding any issues affecting assembly processes.
  • Develop and revise assembly instructions as necessary.

Essential Qualifications for Success:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a production setting, specifically in building cables and wiring harnesses, with skills in soldering and crimping.
  • Proficiency in using digital multi-meters (DMM).
  • Ability to interpret schematics and drawings, follow technical assembly guidelines, and understand engineering blueprints.
  • Basic computer skills for tasks such as record keeping and data entry related to ordering and inventory management.
  • High School Diploma and an Associate's Degree (or equivalent 2 years of relevant post-high school work experience).
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Over 3 years of experience in a production environment focusing on the assembly of cables and wiring harnesses, including soldering and crimping.
  • Experience in supporting continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing production safety, quality, delivery timelines, and cost efficiency.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical components such as resistors, capacitors, diodes, and integrated circuits.
  • Experience in quality assurance processes.
