In this Quality Assurance role, you will be assessing software quality through automated testing. You will work closely with the solution architect and other developers to create test plans, test scripts, and automated tests using both Cypress and Selenium. The primary focus is to develop and maintain test automation frameworks that will form the backbone of the automation process. In this role, you will write, execute, review, and improve automated test cases, resulting in higher quality software releases. Responsibilities: Assess software quality through automated testing Write or assist in the development of test plans and automated test procedures Write, execute, review, and improve automated test cases using both Cypress and Selenium Collaborate with to Business Analysts, the Solution Architect, and/or the Scrum Master review business test criteria and test cases to ensure alignment with business requirements and goals Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle Collaborate with development team throughout the development process to continuously improve testing processes, scope, and quality Evaluate current testing practices, implement best practices, and optimize the breadth and depth of automated testing to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of testing efforts Create logs to document testing phases and defects Update JIRA tickets with test results Requirements Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, or a related area (additional years of experience may be substituted for education) 8+ years of experience in software testing with 5+ years in automated testing frameworks user-facing applications and APIs 4+ years of experience in generating automated test cases and scripts using Cypress and Selenium frameworks Demonstrated experience in Junit, Postman, TestNG, Git, and JIRA Software Demonstrated Experience in scripting and configuration tools Experience in CI/CD tools and frameworks Ability to document and troubleshoot errors The ability to work for any US employer without requiring sponsorship Preferred Qualifications:VA or other Federal Government experience
