The Compensation Consultant collaborates with the sales and product teams to assess and understand the needs of each client and to make recommendations to meet those needs. The Compensation Consultant serves as a subject matter expert to our clients in answering complex compensation questions and advising on best practice. THE WORK ITSELF Work with clients to establish timeframes, assess compensation needs, deliver the application, and provide training. Complete implementations virtually and on-site and deliver compensation presentations to executive management, advise key leaders on appropriate use of the compensable factors and provide specific recommendations, conduct an overall review of the client’s salary structure to ensure internal equity. Serve as a subject matter expert to the client experience teams and compensation teams to provide consultative compensation advice to clients. Stay abreast of current compensation trends and how best to assist our clients with these challenges. Present compensation principles and methodology to Board of Directors for our clients and give specific executive compensation recommendations for the CEO position, including, but not limited to, base pay, variable pay, merit increase, benefits, and perquisites. Evaluate client/prospect goals and objectives and makes solution recommendations, including processes, programs and products, to meet the needs of the client/prospect. Work with other consultants and with client experience specialists to schedule and deliver both soft skills and technical end-user training on salary administration application. Coordinate with the compensation analyst to take ownership of the implementation of Compease. Obtain feedback to ensure clients are satisfied with HR Performance Solutions products and services. Continually support and resolve client requests to ensure retention of clients and acquisition of new clients. Coordinate with Account Manager (AM) to identify and contact at-risk clients. Assess their needs and develop action plans to address those needs in order to promote higher levels of client satisfaction and longevity of the partnership. Meet or exceed annual revenue goal through consulting engagements. Regularly tracking and reporting out progress towards goal achievement. Assume responsibility for maintaining effective working relations, communication, and coordination with company personnel and with management. THE SKILLS YOU BRING The Must Haves... Bachelor’s degree required in a related field Minimum 3 years of HR experience, specifically in compensation Excellent presentation skills Ability to communicate complex compensation principles to all levels of management Strong problem-solving skills Strong project management and organizational skills Excellent written and oral communication skills Exercises good judgment in decision making and recommendations Strong computer skills with work experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) The Nice To Haves...
