Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the public works practice in San Luis Obispo, ensuring the delivery of high-quality projects and services.
Develop and implement strategic plans to grow the transportation practice, including business development, client relationship management, and market expansion.
Oversee project management activities, including planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and quality control.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and deliver innovative transportation solutions.
Provide technical expertise and guidance on transportation planning, engineering, and policy issues.
Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings with clients and stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Planning, Urban Planning, or a related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) license certification preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in transportation planning and engineering.
Strong understanding of transportation systems, infrastructure, and policy issues in California.
Proven ability to manage and deliver complex projects on time and within budget.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team of professionals.
