For one of our key clients and prominent players within the Green Energy Sector, Coalesce Management Consulting (CMC), is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Contracts & Claims Manager to join our team and oversee the contractual and claims management of their significant green energy project. The Contracts & Claims Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of contracts and claims related to our large-scale green energy investment. This role requires a strategic thinker with extensive experience in contract management and claims resolution in the energy sector, capable of handling complex, high-value projects from inception through to completion. Please note that you would initially work as an independent consultant (B2B) through CMC. After the initial year of working, you will also be required to travel to the project location in North Dakota for the execution phase of the project around once per month. Key Responsibilities:

Contract Management: Develop, review, and negotiate contracts, ensuring they meet the company's objectives and compliance requirements. Manage contract lifecycle from initial negotiation to final execution and close-out. Ensure all contracts are administered according to company policies, legal requirements, and best practices. Claims Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage claims and potential disputes arising from contractual agreements. Develop and implement strategies for effective claims resolution and mitigation. Lead claims negotiations and coordinate with legal counsel as necessary to resolve disputes. Assess and manage contractual risks, implementing mitigation strategies to minimize potential impacts. Monitor contract performance and compliance, identifying and addressing any issues promptly. Conduct regular risk assessments and provide recommendations to senior management. Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, legal teams, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective contract and claims management. Facilitate communication and coordination among all parties involved in the contract process. Maintain strong relationships with external partners and vendors. Documentation and Reporting: Ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation of all contracts and claims. Prepare and present regular reports on contract status, claims, and risk assessments to senior management and stakeholders. Maintain a centralized contract and claims management database. Training and Development: Develop and deliver training programs on contract and claims management processes and best practices. Mentor and support junior staff in their professional development.
