Liability Claims Analyst

Job Overview

MV Transportation is in search of a Liability Claims Analyst to assist the Liability Claims Program Manager and the Director of Liability Claims. This position is crucial in supporting the risk management team with various administrative tasks. A foundational understanding of the claims intake and management process is essential for success in this role.



Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Liability Claims Analyst include, but are not limited to:

  • Opening, stamping, reviewing, and organizing incoming mail into the appropriate claim folders.
  • Reporting claims to insurance providers when necessary.
  • Responding to inquiries from Third Party Administrators (TPAs) regarding claim intakes.
  • Downloading video evidence and organizing it within the corresponding claim files.
  • Handling phone calls and voicemails, ensuring appropriate responses or directing inquiries to the right personnel.
  • Collecting contracts and ensuring they are uploaded to the correct folders.
  • Maintaining the Claims-Missing Documents Reports by ensuring all required documents are uploaded timely.
  • Requesting police and accident reports as needed.
  • Setting up and processing new claims.
  • Collaborating with the Safety department for data collection.
  • Assisting in gathering documents required for discovery responses.
  • Helping to organize and maintain claims documentation effectively.


Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience supporting a TPA claims team.
  • A current liability adjuster license is preferred.
  • A Bachelor's Degree or relevant certifications such as Associate in Claims (AIC) or Associate in Risk Management (ARM) are advantageous.
