Organization: Location: United States of America Start Date (Earliest):

22 January 2024 Summary of the Organization: The University of Notre Dame is launching a new effort–the Initiative on Families and Communities in Transition (IFACTS)—in concert with its new strategic focus on poverty. Understanding how families have changed, how these evolutions occur, and how these changes will impact a variety of outcomes is key for shaping the University’s response to poverty. IFACTS has been charged with establishing a data hub that will serve as a repository for large administrative data sets and will host a Census Research Data Center. IFACTS will also work with faculty members in departments throughout the College of Arts and Letters to develop and support research projects on families and communities in transition. As part of this work, IFACTS will establish research infrastructure to support these research projects, including pre-docs, post-docs, grant support, and project and data management. Summary of the Role: We are searching for a self-starter who is passionate about solving poverty to join IFACTS as its inaugural Project Manager. The IFACTS Project Manager will work with faculty and staff across the University to execute multi-faceted projects. Responsibilities: Drive forward potential opportunities and development of IFACTS projects and infrastructure investments in partnership with the Initiative’s Academic Director. Build and manage the basic infrastructure for IFACTS, including budgets, processes, and communication materials and efforts. Serve as an extension of the Academic Director with partners, benefactors, and other stakeholders, to include leading meetings and presentations. Provide executive support to the Academic Director and Initiative as a whole through calendar and correspondence management, advisory board support, meeting support, and events. Qualifications: 3-4 years of experience Strong commitment to both the Catholic mission of Notre Dame and its efforts to reduce poverty. Experience in a university setting. Ability to manage multiple high level and cross functional projects. Ability to build consensus while driving forward projects with strong execution skills. Strong communicator both verbally and written. Ability to work in a rapidly growing environment with a strong culture of performance.
