Under the direction and supervision of the Head of Technical Training and Compliance, the Training and Compliance Coordinator assists in making sure the LLF Technical Services Team is following all Merlin Group, LLF Health and Safety Standards, OSHA and ANSI codes, and Local Codes. Helps to develop, implement and monitor robust Engineering, Facilities and Safety Training Compliance strategies and procedures across entire Technical Services Department.


Key Objectives:

Main Responsibilities:

Develop comprehensive records and procedures for compliance management and training purposes across all Technical Services Teams.
To assist the engineering and maintenance teams with internal and external 3rd party technical training for, but not limited to: Chemical safety and OSHA training, electrical safety training, Emergency first aid training, fire safety and fire extinguisher training, JHA training, Manual handling and rescue training, working at height, EWP training and train the trainer.
Assist with contractor management processes for compliance purposes and ensure that appropriate risk assessments, method statements, permits to work etc. are prepared and observed for safety assurance.
Help with controlling the Permit-to-Work system and ensure that it is followed correctly.
Assist with delivering and maintaining appropriate training programs for maintenance personnel in accordance with an established training matrix. This will include safety briefings, toolbox talks etc.
Have a good working relationship with all the departments personnel, external contractors, suppliers and customers.
Assist conducting reviews and audits of health & safety practices and procedures to ensure compliance with internal standards, manufacturer documentation and any third-party recommendations/requirements in respect of safety.
To continuously promote and encourage a strong health and safety ethic within the Technical Services Teams and ensure that any potential Health and Safety hazards are addressed as quickly as possible and reported, as necessary.
Ensure that all maintenance related risk assessments are completed and reviewed in line with company policies and that they are of a suitable and sufficient standard.
Participate in company training and personal development schemes.
Comply with company policy on dress/appearance and attendance.
To comply with company employment conditions in line with personal contract and the staff handbook
Keep abreast of current legislation and trends within the industry.
Participate in role improvement and staff satisfaction initiatives.
To motivate by presenting a positive and forward-thinking attitude and embracing the Company values.
Ensure clear channels of communication are maintained both within the department and to internal and external customers to ensure information is correctly and appropriately shared particularly where related to Health & Safety issues.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • The ability to manage multiple projects at one time in an efficient and timely manner is important in this position.
  • Good eye for detail.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills are crucial for editing training documents and delivering training classes/documents.
  • Problem-solving skills to come up with ways to improve overall efficiency and overcome training problems.
  • OSHA 10 for General Industry a plus.
  • Previous Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Previous Experience with Asset Management Systems, like Infor, Maximo, CMMS, Asset Panda a plus.
  • Strong people skills to develop an effective team environment and ensure compliance across multiple Teams.
Pay Range:
From USD $25.00/Hr.
