Description

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide hands-on , on-site HR support to multiple Utah locations, addressing day-to-day employee inquiries and resolving issues related to payroll, benefits, and company policies.
  • Assist in the recruitment process, including posting jobs, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and supporting the onboarding process.
  • Support new hire orientations and ensure compliance with all company and legal requirements.
  • Ensure consistent application of HR policies and procedures across all sites.
  • Assist in employee relations by addressing complaints, managing conflict resolution, and supporting managers with employee performance and disciplinary actions.
  • Partner with site leadership to identify training needs and help coordinate learning and development opportunities.
  • Assist in coordinating employee engagement programs and initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture.
  • Manage the collection and reporting of HR metrics, ensuring data is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Travel to various Utah locations regularly to provide in-person HR support and guidance.
  • Assists with creating and implementing disciplinary action, performance improvement initiatives and terminations.
  • Oversee and manage leave of absence requests, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, worker's compensation, short-term disability (STD), and long-term disability (LTD). Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, company policies, and timely processing of all leave requests.
  • Assign and manage training initiatives such as anti-harassment, compliance, and management training via Mineral, ensuring timely completion by employees and tracking compliance.
  • Serve as the liaison between the company's worker's compensation insurance provider and the field team to communicate policy changes, initiatives, and process information. Ensure the field team is informed and compliant with worker's compensation policies
  • Other duties as need to support team initiatives
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2 years of experience in an HR role, ideally with multi-site support experience
  • Knowledge of basic HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, and compliance
  • Understanding of FMLA, ADA, worker's compensation, STD, and LTD policies is a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel to our Utah locations
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with HRIS (Wurk preferred)
  • Solid and hands-on understanding of human resources practices to include leave of absence laws
  • Ability to handle sensitive and highly personal information daily and maintain confidentiality in a mature and insightful manner.

  • Schedule flexibility when business needs exist
