Overview: REACH School is seeking a dynamic and experienced Development Director to lead our fundraising efforts and student recruitment initiatives. The Development Director will play a crucial role in advancing the school's mission by securing financial resources and attracting talented students to our institution.

Responsibilities:
Fundraising Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to meet annual fundraising goals and long-term financial objectives. This includes identifying potential donors, cultivating relationships with existing donors, and soliciting contributions through various channels such as individual donations, corporate sponsorships, grants, and fundraising events.
Donor Engagement: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with donors, alumni, parents, and other stakeholders. Keep them informed about the school's achievements, challenges, and funding needs through regular communications, meetings, and events.
Grant Writing and Management: Research, write, and submit grant proposals to foundations, corporations, and government agencies. Manage grant reporting requirements and ensure compliance with grant terms and conditions.
Event Planning and Execution: Plan and execute fundraising events, including but not limited to galas, auctions, and donor appreciation events. Coordinate logistics, secure sponsorships, recruit volunteers, and oversee event marketing and promotion.
Marketing and Outreach: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop marketing materials and campaigns to promote the school and attract prospective students. Represent the school at community events, fairs, and conferences to increase visibility and awareness.
Student Recruitment: Develop and implement strategies to attract and enroll a diverse and talented student body. Work closely with the admissions team to identify target markets, conduct outreach activities, and engage with prospective students and their families.
Budget Management: Develop and manage the annual fundraising and recruitment budgets. Monitor expenses, track revenue, and provide regular financial reports to the executive team and board of directors.
Collaboration and Leadership: Collaborate with the executive team, board of directors, faculty, and staff to align fundraising and recruitment efforts with the school's strategic goals and priorities. Provide leadership, guidance, and support to fundraising and recruitment staff and volunteers.
Develop Alumni and PTA Program: Create and maintain robust alumni and Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) programs. Engage alumni through events, newsletters, and volunteer opportunities to foster a sense of community and support for the school. Collaborate with parents and teachers to establish and grow the PTA, organizing meetings, events, and initiatives to enhance parental involvement and support for the school.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, business administration, marketing, or a related field. CFRE preferred but not required
Minimum of 3 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, development, or related field, with a proven track record of success in meeting fundraising goals.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent writing and presentation skills, with experience in grant writing and donor communications.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, donor management software, and online fundraising platforms.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
