Job Summary

The Director of the Child Development Center is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the center, ensuring compliance with state licensing standards, and providing leadership to staff and students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and manage the programs and services offered by the Child Development Center
  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of staff members, including classroom teachers and support staff
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Collaborate with the Coordinator of Early Childhood Education Program to provide clinical experiences for students
  • Manage the center's budget and resources, including personnel, facilities, and equipment
  • Develop and implement marketing and promotion strategies to increase enrollment and visibility
  • Ensure the center's facilities and equipment are maintained and up-to-date
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Dean of Continuing Education
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
  • Minimum of two years of experience in child care or early childhood education, with supervisory responsibilities
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with ability to motivate and develop staff
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

The Director of the Child Development Center will work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent interactions with staff, students, and parents. The position requires strong organizational and time management skills, as well as the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
