Description

The Finance Analyst will provide guidance and support to the Modernization Program governance processes and controls for Finance, CapEx and Project Execution. Through guidance, specialized financial knowledge, and standard work processes, they will collaborate with Project Managers, Operations, and the Program Leadership Team to institute a process for continuous monitoring of project budgets and returns provided by ongoing and completed projects.

The Analyst role will be an integral part of the Program Team, reporting to the Program Finance Manager, and will proactively seek opportunities to optimize and standardize various processes used in preparing budget and value projections. They will also provide high-level support and coaching, as a finance subject matter expert, to the project teams. Additionally, they will actively partner across various functions such as Operations, Commercial, Finance, Corporate Strategy, to obtain pertinent information to advance projects and provide financial insight to stakeholders from these teams.

The ADM Modernization Program [Program Aurora] is an ADM Operations Initiative to modernize our strategic facilities through Automation and Optimization. Utilizing technology and ADM expertise, we will reduce unplanned downtime, support safety initiatives, increase OEE and standardize our processes across our business units. The Program is an enabler for ADM’s Digital Transformation.

Job Responsibilities

Establish, document and monitor processes and controls for Wave, AFE/FEL and Procurement within Program boundaries. Assist Program Finance Lead in monitoring regional and total program budget. Provide regional oversight of value creation and ensure proper capture and recording. Prepare information for status reports with input from program and regional team. Assist finance manager in preparing and updating business case(s) for projects and present for approval to affected workstreams. Perform detailed reviews of results recorded to Wave to ensure accuracy in reporting. Perform budget reviews of current and projected spend on a cyclical basis. Deep dive into budgets to assist in updated to CAPEX spend assumptions. Interface with portfolio managers to ensure Aurora aligns with overall portfolios and CAPEX budgets are accurate. Assist in Performance Guarantee tracking as monthly sharing of Program results with partners is required. Assist project teams in properly assessing financial performance. Identify and drive process improvements in budgeting, tracking of results, and status reporting.

Preferred Experience/Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration 2+ years of relevant financial experience Knowledge of ADM Business Unit Segments, Sub-Segments, and their operations is desired. Advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus. Working knowledge of Readiness Processes and Wave entry preferred. Strong communication and mentoring skills as well as ability to interface with various levels of office and operational contacts. Results and continuous improvement oriented; able to drive initiatives and lead changes

This position will be located in North America. Open to having you work from any ADM plants. Remote work is not an option.
