Interim Accounting Manager
The Interim Accounting Manager oversees the integrity of all financial information and ensures compliance with GAAP, FASB, Uniform Guidance, and tax regulations. This vital role includes managing the Accounting Department's operations, such as general ledger, accounts payable, billing, accounts receivable, and gifts & grants. The role also involves preparing internal and audited financial statements, tax filings, and managing external audits. The Interim Accounting Manager will report directly to the VP, Finance & Administration and may report to the President & CEO in the VP's absence. The role is critical in interfacing with various levels of the College community and requires collaboration across departments to design and implement internal controls.
Leads the Accounting Department to ensure the integrity of financial information and compliance with GAAP, FASB, Uniform Guidance and tax regulations
Manages the production of quarterly internal and annual audited financial statements and related notes, schedules and roll forwards
Oversees the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department, including general ledger, accounts payable, billing, accounts receivable, and gifts & grants
Manages the annual external audit and regulatory filings, including the IRS Forms 990, 1098-T, and 1099.
This role is fully remote, candidates will have to sit in East or Central time zones. The Interim Accounting Manager will lead a team comprising two Senior Accountants and an Associate Director of Billing.
