Description:

  • The IT Infrastructure Analyst will serve as a member of the Critical Infrastructure & Operations team. Major accountabilities include but are not limited to; handling tickets routed to the support team for Server Operations; helping to ensure business requirements are sufficiently met; assisting in product upgrades; providing technical consultation to clients and team members; assisting in the development & support of product support documentation; compliance with regulatory and corporate IT standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline or equivalent direct work related experience. In lieu of a degree, 6 years of related business experience.

  • Work experience in addition to a degree: 2-3years. Job-specific knowledge, skills or abilities: Practical experience with Operating Systems, Software and Hardware. General computer usage and support skills.

responsibilities:

  • ServiceNow Administration (Service Desk, Change Management, and Asset Database) or similar ITSM experience

  • Experience with SQL databases for administration of applications, preferably ServiceNow or similar ITSM suites

  • Analyzing business processes, information gathering, interpreting requirements, developing specifications, and implementing process workflow, including routing and approvals.

  • Experience with web servers and application servers for troubleshooting and management purposes

  • Ability to work with PowerShell or similar scripting experience

  • Performing activities/processes for daily maintenance tasks and procedures as needed for the business

  • Participation on project teams to deliver quality server architectural solutions

  • Developing and promoting standard operating procedures

  • Perform problem resolution and root cause analysis along with recommending and implementing preventive techniques.

  • Documenting standard operating processes and procedures.

  • Ensure NERC CIP compliance requirements are meet and maintained

  • Participation in 24x7 on-call rotation

  • Provide enterprise level support of technologies needed for infrastructure and business applications. These technologies include, but are not limited to workstations, servers, storage, mobile devices and a variety of software. Integrate software to enable usage, support, and monitoring of various hardware technologies. Develop and maintain routine work procedures and define standard installation and upgrade methodologies.

  • Responsibilities may include evaluation, acquisition, installation, integration testing, upgrading components and performance monitoring. Plans, designs, installs and/or supports computer systems. Facilitates technical and business planning for upgrades.

  • Provides technical guidance related to software and hardware to members of the IT staff. Develops (or assists in developing) standards for IT software and hardware.

  • Assists in the design and implementation of required systems. Integrates software and hardware configurations to maximize performance.

  • Coordinates hardware and software upgrades with other areas of IT or other business units.

  • Prepares activity and progress reports regarding individual and project activity. Keeps abreast of new hardware and software developments, evaluates alternative approaches, and recommends new software or upgrades which enhance operations.
