Position Overview:
This position involves working with various technologies, particularly focusing on Linux servers and storage solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for integrating software to facilitate the support and monitoring of diverse hardware technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize expertise in RHEL/SUSE Linux to enhance system performance.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for infrastructure server and storage builds.
- Conduct evaluations, installations, and integration testing of new components.
- Provide technical guidance to IT staff regarding software and hardware solutions.
- Assist in the design and implementation of necessary systems to optimize performance.
- Coordinate upgrades and enhancements with other IT departments and business units.
- Prepare detailed reports on project activities and progress.
- Stay updated on emerging hardware and software technologies, recommending improvements as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Essential Skills: Proficiency in Linux is required; candidates with Windows experience will not be considered.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Hands-on experience with Operating Systems, Software, and Hardware.
- Strong documentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Capability to build collaborative relationships across various organizational levels.
- Experience in presenting complex technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
