Job Description
Implement and maintain quality control protocols to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
Conduct inspections, audits, and tests to verify adherence to quality standards throughout all phases of the project.
Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to address quality issues and ensure timely resolution.
Develop and update quality assurance documentation, including reports, non-conformance logs, and corrective action plans.
Train and mentor project teams on quality control procedures and best practices.
Monitor construction activities to identify potential quality risks and recommend preventive measures.
Participate in project meetings and provide quality-related updates to stakeholders.
Maintain a strong focus on safety and regulatory compliance in all quality control activities.
The Successful Applicant
The Successful Quality Control Manager will have:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Proven experience as a Quality Control Manager or similar role in large-scale construction projects, ideally within transportation infrastructure.
In-depth knowledge of construction materials, methods, and regulations.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex project specifications and drawings.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
Certifications such as ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I or equivalent are preferred.
Ability to travel to project sites within Rhode Island as needed.
