Role Overview
The Accounting Manager will be the second member of the Pine Services Group accounting & finance team and will be instrumental in building sustainable processes and systems both at the Pine level and for our operating companies. Reporting directly to the Group Controller, the Accounting Manager will be given significant autonomy and responsibility while overseeing multiple operating companies with direct exposure to the Pine and Evergreen leadership teams. What you’ll do
Develop and foster partnerships with operating company leadership and accounting & finance teams
Lead operating companies through acquisition onboarding
Act as the technical expert on US GAAP (notably ASC 606), ensuring policy aligns with US GAAP
Partner with external auditors to lead companies through annual audits
Prepare and analyze operating company key performance indicators (KPIs) for monthly reporting
Manage the books and records for Pine Services Group
Own specific workstreams in the budgeting and forecasting processes
Research and resolve accounting issues and discrepancies and provide recommendations for improvement.
What you’ll bring
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
4+ years in accounting experience in public audit and private SMBs highly desirable
CPA (strongly preferred)
Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
Advanced Excel skills
Working knowledge of ERP systems (Business Central preferred)
Ability and willingness to navigate ambiguity and produce results with little oversight
Excitement about working on a small team in a start-up environment
