Social Media Director

As our Social Media Director, you will be the strategic lead for our US accounts, playing a pivotal role in shaping and executing our clients' social media strategies. This role requires a deep understanding of social media platforms, trends, and technologies to support content creation, audience listening, posting, and tracking analysis. You will partner closely with clients, becoming a subject matter expert in their business, and collaborate with our creative, media, PR, and strategy teams to provide truly integrated solutions.

You will oversee a team of managers and strategists, ensuring that our social media efforts not only engage communities but also drive differentiated results. You will be responsible for the overall client experience, from leading annual planning sessions and quarterly business reviews (QBRs) to delivering innovative, social-first content that aligns with our audience-first approach.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage social media strategy for US accounts, focusing on B2C and B2B clients across various industries.
  • Partner with clients to become a subject matter expert in their business, providing strategic insights and solutions that align with their goals.
  • Adopt and implement an audience-first approach to create compelling, multi-platform social media content that meets users at the right stage of their journey.
  • Utilize social listening and posting technologies such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Brandwatch, and Buffer to drive informed decision-making.
  • Track, analyze, and report on social media performance using tools like Google Analytics, Sprinklr, and native platform analytics.
  • Lead the development of community engagement strategies that drive brand loyalty and differentiated results.
  • Collaborate with creative, media, PR, and strategy teams to provide holistic solutions that meet client objectives.
  • Oversee a team of social media managers and strategists, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.
  • Conduct annual planning sessions and quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with clients to align on strategy, performance, and future opportunities.
  • Stay current with the latest social media trends, platform updates, and industry best practices to ensure our strategies remain cutting-edge.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
  • Proven experience in a senior social media role within an agency environment, with a strong track record of success across B2C and B2B clients.
  • Expertise in social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube, etc.) and social listening/posting tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Brandwatch, Buffer).
  • Strong understanding of social media analytics and reporting tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Sprinklr, native platform analytics).
  • Excellent client management skills with the ability to build strong, strategic partnerships.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring a team.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively, with a passion for social media and digital marketing.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific trends in food, finance, SaaS, healthcare, and aerospace is a plus.

The salary range below includes variations between all locations and offers a reflection of the highest potential and/or eventual salary in this position. There is not a standard offer, as each is based on experience, location, and other factual criteria. With an impressive PTO policy and career growth opportunities, a competitive salary is just one rich benefit of a position at Gravity Global.

Salary Range: $80k - $105k
