Job Title: Tax Accountant

The Tax Accountant provides analytical support and technical assistance within the tax department as assigned. The Tax Accountant also provides general assistance to other members in the tax department on assigned tasks.

What You'll Do at Arvest: (Other duties may be assigned.)
•Prepares and submits for review federal pro forma income tax returns.
•Prepares and submits for review state income tax returns.
•Responds to correspondence with governmental revenue bodies under general supervision.
•Completes the quarterly income tax provision and related computations.
•Assists in the preparation of reports and regulatory filings.
•Assists with the preparation of account reconciliations and forecasts.
•Performs tax research for more senior members of the department/company in a wide range of tax specialties.
•Assists with tracking tax incentive opportunities. Prepares a summary report of recommendations and findings.
•Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.

Responsibilities:

Toolbox for Success:
•Bachelor's degree in accounting or in a related field of study that includes successful completion of the accounting courses and credit hours needed to sit for the CPA exam or relevant military experience required
•Expectation to pursue completion of CPA designation or advanced degree in Business (such as MSA, MST or MBA) required
•Accounting work experience preferred
•Relevant military experience is considered for veterans and transitioning service members
