This role is designed for a professional who will engage in the execution of moderately intricate tax responsibilities. The Lead Tax Compliance Specialist may also oversee a small group of Tax Accountants, providing essential technical support to the tax division.
Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and submit for evaluation moderately complex federal pro forma tax returns.
2. Prepare and submit for evaluation moderately complex state income tax returns.
3. Conduct initial reviews of less complex federal and state income tax returns.
4. Prepare and submit for evaluation moderately complex quarterly tax provision calculations.
5. Conduct initial reviews of less complex monthly tax provision calculations.
6. Prepare and submit for evaluation tax schedules required for federal bank reporting.
7. Assist in various tax-related projects, including tax credits, fixed asset reviews, and state apportionment.
8. Review annual information reporting data prepared by all entities and communicate necessary adjustments.
9. Research moderately complex tax issues and document findings.
10. Perform quarterly analyses of internal financial data for new tax implications.
11. Respond to inquiries from governmental revenue bodies under general supervision.
12. Research and interpret tax laws and regulations relevant to new business lines and transactions.
