Wellness Program Specialist II

Job Purpose

Job Purpose

Administers and coordinates improvements in company health and well-being; increasing productivity, helping associates and family members make good consumer driven and cost effective choices related to our health plans and reducing overall health risk. This role understands the importance of analyzing, benchmarking, measuring, and tracking Wellness initiatives and return on investment for our company. Also, acts as the main point of contact for field representatives to share Wellness plan information across the company's entire footprint.

Wellness Program Administration

Creates, develops, and administers wellness programs that target significant areas of associate health concerns such as Hypertension, Diabetes and Coronary Artery Disease. In addition to health concerns, administers other types of Wellness programs such as financial, career, community and social wellbeing. Creates programs to help reduce the cost of company claims by helping associates become healthier. Designs and administers a plan to fit the company footprint through insight and analytics. Creates opportunities for associates to understand the areas of fitness, nutrition and other wellness programs.

Wellness and Health Events

Determines and establishes best practices for wellness and health events. Promotes solutions that our associates can access in our stores with an emphases on own brand products. Coordinates seminars for experts to talk directly to our associate groups to deliver useful information about health and wellness.

Wellness Data Analysis

Analyzes, benchmarks, measures and tracks our associate data using our vendor systems. Verifies the associate data to make sure we understand our associates concerns. Ensures our plans are targeting the highest need groups of associates. Makes recommendations for action and implements as approved.

Program Monitoring and Management

Oversees employee surcharge implementation and ongoing processes for our wellness and tobacco cessation programs.
