The HR Generalist will be responsible for day-to-day HR Functions, serving as a resource to both employees and management to support the achievement of World Class Manufacturing business goals. As a member of the Performance Ceramics and Refractories HR team in Worcester, the individual will work within a manufacturing site employing approximately 245 employees. This position is responsible for managing day-to-day Human Resources Functions including employee relations, recruiting and selection, HR Compliance, onboarding, recordkeeping, training and development, compensation, benefits, leaves management, workers compensation and performance management. In addition, the person will deliver on human resources projects in support of ongoing business culture changes. Essential Functions: HR Administration:

Provide HR solutions support, process knowledge advice, and support to assigned client groups. Coach functional leadership in assigned client groups on issues including application of HR policies and processes, Restructuring, and employee issues to ensure consistency. Maintain HRIS updates for hiring, promotions, terminations, transfers, etc. to ensure timely updates, following Saint-Gobain and Worcester, PCR established policy and procedures. Ensuring that before updates are made, the supportive documentation has been created and approved. Oversee and coordinate payroll functions. Work with Corporate to address benefits issues relating to the site employees. Initiate and track job bid postings, prepares resultant bid positioning in compliance with plant policies. Workforce Planning, Recruiting, and Retention:

Partner with Plant Leadership to recruit and staff according to forecast. Oversee recruiting activities to include vetting candidates (to include validating background checks and work authorization), coordinating/participating in site interviews, and integrating new employees through orientation. Conduct stay interviews and exit interviews, analyze data for trends and make recommendations for change as appropriate. People Development and Training:

Support location in organizing training and maintenance of training records per local ISO 9001 and Saint-Gobain requirements. Create and deliver training for new leaders in the plant to ensure consistency across departments. HR Reporting and Analytics:

Ensure alignment of HR KPIs with strategic and operating goals on a weekly basis. Analyze data in order to identify process improvement opportunities. Play key role supporting the local leadership teams to deliver results through effective project and change management and facilitation of both. Support the HR department with its involvement in World Class Manufacturing by being an active member on the People Development Pillar. Required Qualifications

4-year college degree in a related subject matter. Master’s Degree preferred. A minimum of 3+ years of Human Resource Generalist manufacturing experience is preferred. PHR or SHRM certification is preferred. Practiced knowledge of Human Resources processes and policies, external best practices and legal compliance. Proven ability to provide concise, articulate and insightful analysis in written and verbal form, as well as translate into effective presentations. Strong analytical skills with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Experience with HRIS/Applicant Tracking/Time & Attendance databases is necessary. Self-motivated and someone who is sought out for their opinion and advice and who can forge and maintain close relationships across all constituencies. Create and sustain key relationships quickly and maximize resources to effectively achieve goals. Proactively seek employee engagement in a factory setting. Demonstrated ability to assume sole and independent responsibility for various assigned projects. Must be able to prioritize work to meet deadlines despite frequent interruptions. Incumbent will possess a high energy level and positive outlook.
