The ideal candidate for Senior Manager, Sales & Marketing is a highly organized self-starter who is capable of working cross-functionally on the planning and implementation of pharma/pharma-chemical/chemical projects. The candidate will need to display versatility in order to handle ad-hoc projects as assigned. The primary functions will include new business development, sales, and marketing of APIs/Drug Substances, Pharma Intermediates, and Fine Chemicals, to meet and exceed the annualized budget targets. The daily tasks will include both cold-calling as well as working with known customers to discuss expansion of new business. 30-40% of the time will be dedicated to analysis and in-depth research of chemical raw materials, markets, and end users, utilizing a full range of data solutions deployed by the organization. Must have ability to coordinate own meetings with customers and suppliers, as well as participate in meetings arranged by the team. Must have technical credibility to consult customers on technology solutions. Must understand scientific project needs and business needs of the customer to win the business. Demonstrates funnel management skills with strong hunting/prospecting and closing skills. Commitment to rigorous territory planning (North America), market knowledge, supporting both accurate and timely forecasting. Consistently and accurately manages sales process including pipeline management, and sales tracking through the use of the CRM system and other designated IT tools. Develops and maintains current knowledge of Active Pharma Ingredient markets, products, and buying practices required to effectively close new business. Ensure all proper support of customer and supplier partners. Represent the company professionally, ethically, and morally at all times. Fulfill additional support duties, such as coordinating customer orders, arranging samples, and generating reports by working with customer service team members. Perform cross-functional supply chain management of shipments with support of customer service team members. The position to reports to Vice President, Sales & Marketing. Salary will be based on education and experience of each applicant, with potential for growth and promotion. Your profile

Must have at least a bachelor’s degree, Master’s or PhD a plus and welcome to apply. Technical/Science Majors with strong business acumen, as well as Business Majors with a relevant life science industry experience preferred. 7-10 years of chemical ingredients/pharma industry experience preferred for this Mid-Level position. Deep knowledge and experience in the global pharmaceutical industry, as well as current trends. Strong list of active North American relationships with top generic, branded, and CMO life science/pharma players are a must. History of building up projects and new business from the ground up, with support of centralized inter-disciplinary teams. Hunter mentality – ability to work independently, to identify new revenue streams and build a portfolio of business around APIs, Intermediates, and Fine Chemicals. Strong understanding and knowledge of life science/pharma industry regulatory, and quality requirement. Strong understanding of logistics, warehousing, inventory management, trans-oceanic freight, and packaging requirements in the pharma ingredients space. Experience working in a multinational environment, with colleagues, customers, suppliers located outside of North America. Ability to travel as needed for business meetings – customers, suppliers, trade shows, company meetings. Experience working in a Salesforce/CRM environment for opportunity tracking and pipeline management. Professional level knowledge of Microsoft products suite – Excel, Word, Power Point, etc. Must be a team player willing to learn, with excellent communication skills, and native level English language proficiency. Must be willing to share in other job duties within the company when necessary. Must be authorized to work in the US. Company will not sponsor applicants for work visa.
